Former Newcastle United star David Ginora spoke about how he felt he was stabbed in the back by the club when he prevented him from joining Barcelona.
The French were a star magpie performer between 1995 and 1997, and later cast spells in the Premier League with Tottenham, Aston Villa and Everton.
Still, it appears that Ginola has had the opportunity to go to Barcelona at some point, and he feels obviously bitter about not being allowed to go yet.
“It wasn’t rude to Newcastle, but my career is very short. When it never happened again, I had to go back, and when Keegan left that January, he left me too.
David Ginola Transfer Saga is similar to Alexander Isak
The Zinora saga clearly has some similarities with Alexander Isaac.
It took a while, but in the end they decided to let go of Isak, but for a while they seemed to do everything they could to prevent him from leaving.
As Ginola’s story shows us, this appears to leave a bitter taste between the club and the players, so it would ultimately seem that Newcastle did the right thing.
Isaac would not have been happy to be staying at St. James’ Park, and it would have been a big challenge for Eddie Howe to reintegrate Swedish International into his team.
