Newcastle is about to sell Alexander Isaac to Liverpool, but after all, he is not the only striker leaving St. James Park on the deadline.
In recent weeks, it has been reported that William Osla has been gaining interest from German clubs. The 22-year-old, who joined from Sheffield United on a deal worth £15 million last summer, has been struggling for a few minutes since moving northeast, and it is set to stay as Newcastle brings in Yeoan Wissa as he has already signed Nick Urtemaid despite Isaac’s departure.
Eddie Howe had previously blocked Osla’s departure, but now Ultemad and Wissa have arrived at St. James Park, his stance is relaxed. And he is approaching what will be done to leave.
Eintracht Frankfurt has set up William Osla from Newcastle
As Craig Hope reported, Osula is on the verge of joining Eintracht Frankfurt, which sold Hugo Ekitike to Liverpool earlier this summer. The Bundesliga are ready to pay £30 million, and it has also been pointed out that Newcastle will retain a buyback clause as part of the deal.
Osla shows a flash of quality in Newcastle, but he is still very raw. £30 million is a good price for Newcastle to receive, and if he develops heavily in Frankfurt, there will be any chance he can return to St. James Park in the future.
The sale of ISAK would have eliminated concerns from Newcastle’s PSR after a massive summer, but this Osula deal guarantees that it will be fine for next summer. We even managed to open the door to add to the Howes team late before the 7pm deadline.
