Arsenal has linked to many wingers at this point, but Charles Watts is not sure what substance is there in Alejandro Garnacho’s speculation.
Manchester United’s Argentine left winger is someone Watt admires, but I don’t know if he’s distinctive in Arsenal’s way of thinking this summer.
Gunners experts are also questioning whether Garnacho will really do enough to raise the bar at Emirates Stadium.
The 20-year-old is definitely a top talent who can have a big future in the game, but he has yet to suggest that he can quickly upgrade things like Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Torosad.
Will Arsenal really be in the race to sign Alejandro Garnacho?
Garnacho may have linked to Arsenal, but Watts does not speculate and perform the rumors based on his current information.
Discussing his connection with the Argentina international, he said:
“Obviously they know they are in the market for new wingers, but I don’t think Garnacho is on the list.
“I actually like Garnacho as a player. He’s the one who catches my eye every time he sees him play and it doesn’t surprise me to see him really kick when he leaves Manchester United.
“But I don’t think it’s at Arsenal. It doesn’t seem to suit me.
“What Winger Arsenal ultimately chose this summer has really had to take the level, in my opinion.
“I haven’t seen Garnacho doing that. I’m not seeing any improvements to what Arsenal already has.”
What’s next for Alejandro Garnacho?
Garnacho shows a flash of quality at Man United, but he will leave Old Trafford this summer.
Telegraph continues to link him to Chelsea, Catch off side I recently reported on my interest in him from around Europe.
Our sources mentioned clubs such as Naples, AC Milan, Atletico Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen, even if nothing has progressed yet.
Garnacho will surely have a lot of worshippers, but Arsenal will probably feel very justified that they can do better.
