Right-handed roki Sasaki is likely close to joining the Los Angeles after not pitching since May and rejoining the official roster.
Sasaki has been on the list of injuries sustained in a shoulder collision for over four months, but he has looked sharp since his arrival in North America after his recent rehab in Triple A.
After boosting 4.2 miles of fastball from his final start (average 98.6 mph), and hitting six triple figures on the radar, manager Dave Roberts revealed that Rob Hill’s pitching director was in the lab with Sasaki to help him reach his full potential.

“It was like Loki was trying to get his feelings and stuff like that. But he and Rob had really good sessions and took advantage of some speed,” Roberts said.
Phenom from Japan has beaten eight innings, over 4.2 innings, creating 16 whims, the best season in both MLB and MILB plays.
“A lot of the young, talented players are just a talented league and I don’t think they really need to make any type of adjustment. It happens in the Americans, it happens in the pitchers, it happens with the position players with a lot of young players.
The guidance may probably work, but the name of the game at this point is consistency. If Sasaki can keep this up, there’s no reason he can’t help the pitching staff.
That being said, the starting spin is in a slightly different place than when Sasaki was healthy the last time. The purely dominated LA starting pitcher has been on display recently, combined with Abyss Malbumblepen play, and even opened up the conversation to the idea of Sasaki returning to pitching with peace of mind.
“I think Loki is in a good place to do anything to help the team,” Roberts said. “(Pitching out of the bullpen) is completely odd to him, so it has to be a little leap of faith on his part.
“But I think he understands the starting pitcher is pitching, he just wants to be a part of it.
