manager Dave Roberts said ahead of Tuesday’s match against athletics, Sasaki is dealing with arm pain and can go to IL. Now the move has become official. This is because Sasaki misses out on at least the next two weeks.
In 2019, Sasaki started in the eighth innings, making it 1-1 with an ERA of 4.72. He hit just 24 batters in 34.1 innings, allowing 29 hits, 18 run scored and 22 walks.
The ‘ rotation – already without Tyler Glasnow, Blake Snell and Clayton Kershaw – is now even thinner.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tony Gonsorin and Dustin are three main staples, and Landonnack could get a long stay after Tuesday’s start.
