Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta made an exciting assertion that players don’t need to be too persuaded to move to Emirates Stadium.
At today’s press conference, Arteta told reporters that a big victory over someone like Real Madrid doesn’t necessarily have a major impact on players’ transfer decisions.
By pointing to such a great outcome, Arteta was asked whether he could prove the key in persuading persuasive players who might be on the fence about participation.
However, Spanish tacticians suggested that the problem never happened anyway.
Since becoming manager a few years ago, Arteta has overseen an impressive overhaul of the Arsenal team, and the club has brought celebrities like Declan Rice during its reign.
Players always sound excited to join Arsenal, says Mikel Arteta
Arsenal, even though it has been a while since their most successful period, its reputation seems to mean that players are constantly thrilled when Arteta approaches them.
Asked about what Madrid results could have had an effect, Arteta said: “It could be another factor, but I think we are very fortunate.
“It can generate more enthusiasm, more faith, because the club is in a good place.
“Overall, we’re already very strong, so we can attract any player.”
Arsenal fans will be pleased to hear this. That’s because it means Arteta is already confident in landing some of the big names linked to the gunners before summer.
Arteta certainly did by adding one or two top offensive players after injuries like Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus, but Bukayo Saka put a lot of pressure on him after being asked to play so many games at a relatively young age.
