Farmingdale, N.Y. — The forecasted weather forced Ryder Cup officials to move the opening ceremony one day at Beth Page Black on Wednesday.
The epic opportunity for the opening ceremony is usually Thursday afternoon, during which the captain announces the lineup for Friday’s first session.
The ceremony, currently hosted by “Today” co-host Carson Daly and sports journalist and former Miss America, Kira Dixon, is 3pm on Wednesdays when players join the arena and enter the fanfare. Those with tickets for Thursday will be allowed to use them on Wednesday.
The pairing for the Friday opening foursome session will still be announced Thursday afternoon.
