The Sacramento Kings’ latest point guard has great aspirations for his team in the upcoming Eurobasket tournament.
Some of the biggest stars, like Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo, are set to appear in the competition.
It also includes World Cup champion Germany, who participates in the same group as teams from Lithuania and Finland.
They will be led by Dennis Schroeder, who has eased his expectations for the tournament.
Schroeder came out of the stellar NBA season with the Detroit Pistons. There, he played a pivotal role in helping him return to the playoffs.
He will then sign with the Sacramento Kings in a three-year, $45 million deal, leading the backcourt.
The 31-year-old will represent Germany in the Eurobasket Tournament and hope to win it all after finishing third in 2022.
Speaking about what he was thinking about team opportunities, Schroeder said: “We’re going to win the title. If I’m not sure about it, I would rather not play the tournament and spend my time at Braunschweig.”
Germany’s hopes to win the competition seem fair as he leads a group of talented players.
However, Serbia could be one of the biggest challengers for them as they proved in a 91-81 victory in Schroeder’s German DBB Super Cup final.

Nikola Zhokic’s team handed Germany the first defeat in the prep game, and they themselves were undefeated by Eurobasket.
Since winning the tournament in 2001, Serbia has secured two runner-up results. However, Jokic hopes to lead them to victory and add to his international glory.
The Germans proved they could win at the international level when they defeated Serbia in the 2023 FIBA World Cup final.
Schroeder was the MVP of the tournament, but Germany included Franz Wagner, Moritz Wagner and Daniel Teis.
Their team hasn’t changed much since their victory. They hope that continuity will succeed in Eurobasket.
Serbia is undoubtedly one of the challengers, but teams like Slovenia and France are also difficult to beat, as there are many NBA players on the roster.
Schroeder is important, but Orlando’s magic star Wagner also needs to offer special performances for Germany to succeed in upcoming tournaments.
The current power rankings are second only to Serbia, but the 2023 World Cup winners are about to change that as soon as Eurobasket resumes.
