Manchester United’s future, attacking midfielder Bruno Fernandez, is reportedly likely to be doubted again as Saudi professional league clubs are watching him in January.
Portugal International has endured frustrating time at Man UTD, and has often shown to be one of the team’s best players, but the whole club is struggling.
According to Manchester Evening News, by moving to a Saudi club, Fernandez has had an attractive opportunity to more than double his money.
The report states that Fernandez had Saudi interest in the summer, and that the Red Devils could once again sweat his future in January.
Has Bruno Fernandez retired from Manchester United and transferred to Saudi Arabia?
According to the report, Fernandez probably had the opportunity to earn as much as £700,000 a week in the transition to Saudi Arabia.
United previously rejected an approach from Al Hilal, but it appears they will once again have to fight more attention on the star players.
At some point, we need to wonder if MUFC will be seduced by aging players who are not optimal for Reuben Amorim’s system anyway.
Meanwhile, Fernandez himself lost patience in this failed United project and decided to play at an easier level for more money in the coming years of his career.
The 31-year-old certainly looks back on his time with United and remains safer than many others with the knowledge that he did absolutely everything to try and get his team back to the Heights they used to.
It didn’t work, but it can’t be criticized by Fernandez like someone who was a world-class performer in his time in the Premier League and fits well with the old unified side.
