During the press conference, Serbian coach Svetislav Pessic wanted to go back to the comments he heard and get something out of his chest.
Pessic said:
“It’s all about preparation, bad preparation, bad outcomes.”
Pessic, 75, began his coaching career in 1982 and has extensive experience. He has been coaching Serbia since 2021.
He says he is not set up his way and he has to shape his game plan around players he is available to.
Pessic told the Telegraph: “Coach must adapt to players. Coaches must always understand that he is there for players, that they are most important, that it is the first to bring about team development. Coaches should not be on top of teams.”
Serbia’s Eurobasket campaign will begin with a group stage against Estonia on August 27th.
This is one of five early fixtures to close out against Alperencenton’s turkey on September 3rd.
Serbia is expected to reach the knockout phase in the tournament final set on September 14th, and it’s no surprise to see Nikola Djokic and Serbia’s features.
