The Los Angeles officially set the opening rotation for the first week of the 2025 regular season.
Left-handed pitcher Blake Snell joins the this offseason on a five-year, $182 million contract, playing against the Detroit Tigers on Thursday. It will be a Cy Young winner fight as left-handed Tarik Skuval begins for the Tigers.

On Friday, the will turn their eyes to right-handed pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto, which will mark his second start of the 2025 season.
Yamamoto began the opening day of the Tokyo Series, where he pitched five innings of one run ball against the Chicago Cubs, and only managed three hits on one walk during the four walks.
The Tigers have not been selected as the starter for the second or third game of the series, but the are pitching rookie right-handed Loki Sasaki with Detroit for Saturday’s series finale.
In his MLB debut in the second game of the Tokyo Series, Sasaki pitched three innings and allowed one hit with five walks and three strikeouts.
The will start a 3-game series with the Atlanta Braves after they are off on Sunday.

Tyler Glasnow is scheduled to make his season debut on Monday, March 31st, while Dustin May is scheduled to return to the mound on Tuesday, April 1st.
Glasnow is back this spring after missing the final two months of the 2024 season due to tension in his elbow. Before the injury, Glasnow set up a career high with a start (22), pitching in the innings (134), and strikeouts (168). He makes his first career All-Star appearance and aims to build on that success this year.
Finally, May will be highlighted on the mound nearly 23 months after the final regular season began in May 2023. The right-hander had a revised Tommy John surgery in 2023, and then in 2024, he underwent surgery to repair his torn esophagus.
In the start of the nine innings of 2023, he pitched 2.63 ERAs in 48 innings in May.
