It appears that the injury crisis will not end until the seemingly unavoidable domestic form deteriorates, but this was a season to forget for Tottenham Hotspur fans.
However, although the present is quite harsh, the future looks very bright.
Ange Postecoglou’s young signatures are like Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall, and appear to have produced many incredible talent, including Mikey Moore, Luca Williams-Barnett, and Tyrese Hall.
Within a few years, the people of North London were able to have a truly amazing team full of homemade talent. But if they continue to hold the former academy gem playing in the Premier League compared to Mohamed Sarah, it would be an even better team.
The talent of the Spurs who escaped
With the aforementioned young people, I feel like the Spurs are on the cliff of the incredible generation of talent that comes out of the way Hotspur. But it’s not the first, as there are many graduates playing for top flight teams across Europe. The most obvious one is Harry Kane.
The England captain joined the North Londoner as a teenager and after going out on several loan spells, he established himself as an unappointed member of the first team in the 14/15 season.
The Walthamstow-born striker joined Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023 for around £86 million and continued to star for the people of North London with a final tally of 280 goals and 61 assists in 435 appearances.
The 31-year-old has become even more effective since moving to Germany, accumulating 77 goals and 24 assists in 83 appearances, and is set to win the Bundesliga this season, the first major honor of his career.
The academy alumnus who doesn’t have as stellar careers as Kane, but nevertheless plays in the Premier League is Kyle Walkerpeter.
After appearing in the N17 youth system, the Edmonton-born fullback made 24 appearances for Lily Whites, scoring one goal and providing five assists, but was loaned to Southampton in January 2020 and signed by the Saints that summer for £12 million.
Finally, Celtic defender Cameron Carter Vickers is also a graduate of the Academy in Tottenham and has not been able to establish himself in North London, but he thrives north of the border.

In fact, if Hoops lifted the title this year – it almost certainly would – he’s been winning the title every year since moving to Glasgow.
However, while the Spurs won’t lose sleep on a player who’s doing well in Scotland, they may regret losing the academy gem that is currently playing in the Premier League and being compared to Sarah.
Where are they now?

Hotspurway gem compared to Sarah
There are currently a number of Hotspur Way alumni who play in the UK, from Marcus Edwards in Burnley to Oliver Skip and Harry Winks in Leicester City.
But coming down to current quality and future possibilities, Noni Madue is a standout graduate of the Premier League.
The Burnett-born winger was part of the club’s youth setup until she joined Eledy Busyside PSV Eindhoven in the summer of 2018. So his tally of 20 goals and 14 assists was enough to secure a £30 million move to Chelsea in January 2023.
But before we get to how he’s reaching this season, it’s worth looking into this comparison with Sarah and where it came from.
It examines players who are mostly derived from FBREF and in similar positions in the Premier League, creating a list of the 10 players that are most comparable to each. In this example, we concluded that the Egyptian ace is the fourth-like offensive midfielder or winger for the British.
The best way to see where this comparison comes from is for the pair to look at the underlying metrics, including but not limited to non-penalized expected goals, target shots, successful take-ons, and crosses to penalty areas.

Due to his statistical similarity, the talent of Bruce, the best winger in world football, is enjoying a relatively successful season from a personal perspective by journalist Simon Phillips, once known as “world class.”
For example, in 28 appearances totaling 1653, he scored eight goals and provided four assists.
That is, the 23-year-old Dangerman averages goal involvement every 2.33 appearances, or 137.75 minutes, and is a level of power that certainly increases as he develops.
Ultimately, the Spurs are already a great team when it comes to scoring goals and have a youngster sensational crop through the academy. Still, it’s hard to imagine how dangerous they would be if Postecoglou had Madueke on his bench or Madueke in his starting lineup.
