Chandler Parsons believes the LA Clippers have performed one of the biggest fleece jobs in NBA history.
The LA Clippers secured an outstanding 105-102 victory in Game 2 of their first round series against the Nuggets in Denver.
This was the classic Kawi Leonard performance that helped the Clippers close the game on their path to the 2023 champions.
The two-time Finals MVP scored 39 points with 78.9% shooting from the field, reminding people how big he is.
Like Game 1, Russell Westbrook appeared in defensive play where he won the game during the clutch, and Game 2 was close, but the Clippers did enough to level the series.
Ivica Zubac was another player who went on a massive outing against the Nuggets as he scored 16 points and 12 rebounds in the night.
The center did an excellent job with Nikola Jokic as the three-time MVPs didn’t affect the series as much as he wanted.
Former NBA player Chandler Parsons shared Ivica Zubac’s very interesting views and how great it has been for the Clippers since moving on to the team.
Zubac was drafted by the LA Lakers in the second round in 2016, but they didn’t use him much as they spent more time with the G-League affiliate team.
He was traded for the Clippers in 2019 in exchange for only Mike Mascara, who retired from the NBA after 11 seasons.
Parsons said the deal by the Clippers is one of the biggest fleece jobs in NBA history.
Regarding his sparkle in the playoffs on the “Run it Back” show, Parsons said:
“He’s very good, he’s very consistent, he’s got a career number through the roof, he’s great, he’s great, I think it looked like he swapped him like Mike Mascara, maybe the best fleece job of all time.”
The most improved player award nominee, Zubac has won a season worthy of being one of the league’s best defensive centers.
In their first two games against the Nuggets, the Croats were immeasurable for the Clippers, averaging over 15 points and 12 rebounds.
He is against one of the MVP Frontrunners in the form of Jokic. This is a tough mission for everyone.
Djokic had a triple double in Game 2, and the Serbs had the ball spinning more than seven times, which doesn’t happen very often.
Naturally, this all came not only to Zubac, but not only did it come with a lot of help to contain Jokic, but it also did well to slow down the 3 MVPs.
The Clippers have advantages as the series heads towards the Intuit Dome, but the Nuggets are an experienced roster and can win on the road. So Zubac must keep delivering for them.
James Harden and Leonard are very important to the offensive Clippers, but Zubak has two-way responsibility and needs his best on both ends for a chance to win the series.
