Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano are ready to do it again.
On Friday night in New York City, Taylor and Serrano share their third ring. This is the culmination of rivalry that has formed women’s boxing and has been promoted to new heights. Their first match was their first women’s boxing match at the headlines at Madison Square Garden, but last year’s rematch was the most viewed female professional sporting event in US history. And now, both women are trapped for the final dance.
On ritual weigh-in Thursday, Taylor and Serrano shared a final showdown to honor before making a final statement before a big fight.
“The official prediction is that it will be another iconic night,” Taylor said. “We’ve already had two iconic fights. Amanda is a great champion. We have a lot of respect for each other. We’re honored to be the headline of such a great card. This is the highlight of my career.
