Manchester United Central midfielder Cobbie Mineu is reportedly ready to revive the loan move to Napoli in January this year.
England International struggled with playing time under Reuben Amorim, which led to speculation about his future at Old Trafford.
According to the Daily Mail, Napoli is mentioned as one of them, and five clubs have recently been reported eager to sign Mainoo this summer.
Currently, a report from ESPN suggests that Mainoo will be able to see that potential move again in January if his situation, including playing time, has not improved by then.
Should Kobbie Mainoo leave Manchester United?
According to ESPN, Mainoo is not thought to be pushing for a permanent exit from United, but he is keen on loan to ensure he plays regularly.
In fact, this seems like the best solution for today’s talented 20-year-olds, for a variety of reasons.
Not only does it seem to be defeating the hierarchy under Reuben Amorim, but it would probably be a good move for Mein to escape from this struggling club for a while.
Many players struggle to shine in MUFC before improving elsewhere, which could make it an ideal move for Mainoo development.
Of course, Mainoo has probably already shown that he can become a key first team player, so United fans certainly hope that this isn’t necessary.
If he can regain Amorim’s trust and join the team more frequently in weeks or months, it could prove to be important to turn things around in Manchester.
