Blake Snell has returned from the paternity list to replace Bessia on the active roster.
Vescia has struggled recently after a dominant start to the season, allowing the run he scored in four of his last six outings. The fiery left-hander has made 59 appearances this season, earning a 2.75 ERA in 52.1 innings.
Vesia has had an impressive strikeout count this season, hitting 69 batters with a strikeout rate of 33%. This is in the 96th percentile of Major League Baseball. He was essentially picked up from what he left off since last season after winning a 1.76 ERA in 67 appearances.
