Wolverhampton Wanderers are positioning themselves in the race to sign Jeremy Toljean from Serie A-side Sasslo this summer.

As club captain Nelson Semed’s future falls closer to the contract, the wolves are prepared for the potential for major changes to the right of their defense.

Pereira is reportedly keen to keep the 31-year-old Portugal fullback, but so far his efforts to agree to a new deal have proven challenging, with hopes that Semedo will be able to leave Molineux on a free transfer in the coming weeks.

The defender is linked to travelling to Marseille.

In anticipation of this potential departure, the wolves identified Torjan as a strong candidate to step in and fill the gap left by Cemed.

According to reports from the Fussball Transfer, the Wolves have strengthened their interest in the experienced Sassoro defender who enjoyed a consistent season in Serie A.

Torjan brings a wealth of top flight experiences he has played in the Bundesliga, Serie A and European competitions throughout his career.

His ability to contribute to the offensive with overlap runs and accurate delivery while maintaining defensive discipline is something the wolves are trying to add to their team.

Other clubs have expressed interest in German defenders, but the wolves’ clear project under Pereira and the promise of Premier League football makes them a powerful destination for Torjan.

The possibility of Torjean’s arrival adds leadership and experience to teams that could change even further this summer, ensuring they remain competitive in the Premier League next season.
