Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has denounced his previous club for not giving his advice for Declan Rice before joining Arsenal.
Gunner spent a lot of money bringing rice from West Ham to Emirates Stadium in the summer of 2023, and he has been a huge success for Mikel Arteta’s part.
Rice had shown many promises at West Ham, but since joining Arsenal he has undoubtedly just taken his game to another level.
It is not so surprising that Ferdinand is troubled by his failure to make England international while he was still available.
With him at Arsenal there is certainly no hope that United will be able to sign Rice. Ferdinand admits that this is a major mistake by the Red Devils.

Ferdinand is clearly a huge Rice fan and it is clear that he was ignored still annoyed him when he urged United to make a move for him.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, the former United defender said: “DeClan Rice didn’t make a choice (between Manchester United and Arsenal).
“United f **** dd *** d. They wanted Declan, so they f **** d and encouraged some people there to make every sacrifice.
“And they didn’t even bid. They didn’t even bid. He’s a guy, I love him. I would have taken him with me.”
It’s easy to imagine at the time Rice was a signature that was created by Sir Alex Ferguson’s unity.
MUFC was an expert in landing the best players from other Premier League clubs, including people like Ferdinand, who joined Leeds’ Big Money in the summer of 2002.
Other similar signatures include Wayne Rooney of Everton, Dwight York of Aston Villa, and Michael Carrick and Dimiter Belbatov of Tottenham.
