Paul Pierce told Paul George that the recent trend in the NBA is behind a dramatic increase in Achilles injuries.

Over the past few months, I have seen several NBA players suffer from torn Achilles heel. It has become a very surprising trend

The first notable player torn Achilles was Damian Lillard, who suffered a playoff injury just months after maintaining calf tension.

Jason Tatum also held back a lot of time and tore Achilles in the playoffs as he struggled with calves tension during the regular season.

And the latest in such injuries unfortunately occurred in Game 7 of the NBA Finals.

I’m wondering why so many of these injuries are happening. Victor Oladipo requested a change from the NBPA following the injury to Halliburton. However, Paul Pierce believes there is another reason for the sudden rise in the injury.

Paul Pierce was a guest on Paul George’s podcast this week. The pair discussed Achilles’ recent injuries in the NBA.

Both Pauls agreed that a reduction in focus on practice compared to previous eras is a key reason for this rise. They believe that if players are not conditioned well, they are likely to get injured.

Paul Earrings: “KG made an interesting point. He was like, ‘They won’t practice any more.’ What’s the difference between the beginning of 2010 and the past? ”

Paul George: “It’s practice. I push the coach like, ‘Yo-yo, I need to practice more’. “When I came to the league, I realized what it did in the season. Yes, it was tough during practice days. It was ground. But when we got into the game, it was easy. ”

Earrings: “You have to be at a certain level. Take shape. Think about it. Don’t practice for two days. Just go straight to the game at 110! Your body is cold. How to practice every day will help you condition your play.

The surprising trend in Achilles’ injuries in the league has forced the team to take strict action to ensure the health and safety of the players.

First of all, players who have suffered calf tension or other related muscle damage cannot rush back without proper recovery unless they are in an emergency situation like Tyrees Halliburton in the NBA Finals.

The final three major Achilles injuries came after the players suffered calf tension early in the campaign.

Second, NBA teams need to try and invest more in their strength and conditioning staff so that players don’t get hurt so easily.

The NBA has the best physical trainers in the world. But they can always do better in that department, especially given what’s been happening recently.
