Things to do in Los Angeles for Dodgers fans: July 25th-27th weekend

The Los Angeles will not be in town this weekend as their team is in Boston for a three-game series against the Red Sox.

When the boys riding in Boston are not watching in Blue, there are a few things to do in Los Angeles over the weekend of July 25th-27th.

The aren’t in town, but Los Angeles has several other teams to support them in competing from home this weekend.

Angel City vs. Carolina Ascent FC

Angel City FC will play Carolina Ascent FC friendly at BMO Stadium at 5pm on Saturday. Tickets start at $20, but can be purchased here. Angel City FC is also holding club battles, a ticket sales competition between local youth clubs. Youth clubs with the most ticket purchases will win exclusive prizes.

LAFC vs. Portland Timbers

LAFC is playing the Portland Timbers at BMO Stadium on Friday at 7pm. Tickets start at $31 and can be purchased here.

Meet and say hello with goalkeeper John McCarthy of LA Galaxy

LA Galaxy goalkeeper John McCarthy hosts free Meet and say hello on Sundays from 1 to 2:30pm at Norms Carson (20420 Avalon Blvd., Carson). The first 50 guests will receive a $20 voucher from the purchase.

Los Angeles draws some of the biggest names in music, and this weekend offers something for every flavour. If you are looking to take a break from sports, there are concerts for everyone to enjoy.

My Chemistry Romance

The are taking over the Red Sox, but my chemistry romance will take over Stadium on Saturday and Sunday at 7pm. The concert will include Wallows as a special guest. Tickets for both nights are available here.

Keith Urban

Country star Keith Urban starts at $35 at Intuit Dome for its High and Alive World Tour on Saturday, tickets at 7pm and is available for purchase here.

Christmas in July

For jazz lovers, Baked Potato will host Christmas in July and tickets available on Sundays at 8pm and 10pm are available on the Baked Potato website.

Los Angeles is a vibrant cultural collection, and this weekend you can experience its richness firsthand through a variety of free cultural celebrations happening around the city.

Long Beach Dragon Boat Festival

California’s largest Dragon Boat Festival takes place on Saturdays from 8am to 6:30pm at Marine Stadium in Long Beach. The event is free and features traditional Chinese art demonstrations, Chinese acrobatics, traditional dance, hip hop, music and martial arts performances.

Salsa Summer

Featuring Super DJ Robby, the Echo Park project recreates New York City salsa style with La Plaza de Cultura Y Artes. The event offers complimentary salsa dance classes from 6pm to 7pm. Entrance fees are free if you register here.

Adults only

Do you need a break from the kids? Los Angeles is lined up with a variety of adult-only events this weekend, making it a great choice for a bit of an adult fun.

2025 Los Angeles Ventures

The California Science Center is holding a brew beer fest Saturday from 7pm to 11pm. General admission tickets are $55 and VIP is $70. A local craft brewery is available for guests to sample their drinks. Tickets and more information can be found here.

Powerhouse comedy show

The Haha Comedy Club in North Hollywood offers free street parking for a few comedians between $2 and $4 on Fridays, between 9:50pm and 11:30pm. Tickets and more information can be found here.
