Former NBA star Chandler Parsons went out with Ja Morant’s antics towards the Miami Heat.
Memphis Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant is probably one of the most fun players in the NBA. But at the same time, JA has lost a massive fanbase in recent years.
First of all, it was gun-related violence from the court. Morant provided 25 games of suspension for the 2023-24 NBA season.
However, the Grizzlies superstar hasn’t learned from his mistakes as he recently made gun-related gestures in consecutive games with the Golden State Warriors and the Miami Heat. As a result, the NBA denounced a $75,000 fine for his inappropriate gestures.
Former NBA player Chandler Parsons went out to JA with an on-court attitude in a recent episode of Run It Back.
Parsons responded to Morant’s gestures on the heat before the Grizzlies star was fined by the NBA. Either way, Parsons was disappointed with how Morant has acted over the past two years or so.
“Where I’m confused, he’s been a villain for two years. This is all your fault, you do. You did all this yourself.
“Everyone loves Ja Morant. Many still love Ja Morant. He is one of the most fun, exciting, and athletic must-see players in the NBA.
“This has nothing to do with people who hate his games, his talent, his productions. He’s great on the basketball court.”
In fact, there aren’t many players who can rival JA’s abilities in court. But what fans don’t like is his rigidity towards inappropriate celebrations.
Morant is currently 25 years old and plays the sixth season of his NBA career. Despite spending a lot of time in the world’s largest basketball league, Parsons believes JA will not respect the opportunities he has won.
“This kind of thing shows just zero growth, ignoring the NBA as a level of disrespect and unhappiness as a professional NBA player.
“It’s a (role) model for millions of kids. I don’t get it. It’s sad, it’s a shame. And this is a guy who was on a slippery slope.
“He’s really good at basketball, but now it’s about ruining his image, his legacy.”
If you don’t have 25 games due to fines and losing huge amounts of money doesn’t teach Morant the lesson, you might not do anything else.
