Tottenham Hotspur brings Thomas Frank as his new manager and is already seeing Gustav Isaacsen as a potential transfer target.
The former Brentford manager was keen to sign Gustav Isaacsen from Lazio last summer. However, the movement did not come true. He appears to be ready to return to the 24-year-old attacker this summer.
According to a report by Lalazio Siamo Noi, Tottenham wants to sign the player, and it remains to be seen whether or not they will move forward with an official approach. They will need a fee of around 25 million euros to complete the transaction.
Isaxon has been linked to Newcastle in the past. Arsenal was also enthusiastic about him a few years ago.
Wilson Dobebert replacement?
The report argues Wilson O’Dobert may not be a key player for Tottenham next season, and they can aim to get him moving. Isaacsen has been identified as an alternative.
It remains to be seen whether Tottenham is ready to pay the asking price to players. It’s unlikely that he would be difficult to convince him to join the club. They are big clubs and the opportunity to move into the Premier League is appealing to any player.
Gustav Isaksen is a useful addition
Isaacsen had the physicality and technical attributes to get along well at Tottenham, which helped him establish himself as a key player for the club. The fact that Frank appreciates him also serves as a great encouragement for the players if he joins the club.
He has six goals and six assists in his name this past season, and he is either on the flank and can act in the role of No. 10.
Additionally, the player is only 24 years old and has been able to improve with coaching and experience. The reported asking price may seem like a solid investment if he can improve further.
Meanwhile, Isaacsen’s girlfriend Olivia Hoult plays for the Tottenham woman. It could also play an important role in persuading players to join the club. He has previously admitted that he wants to play for the same club as his girlfriend.
