Luka Doncic has performed incredible in the prep game for the upcoming Eurobasket tournament.

After being injured in a match against Latvia that scared La Lakers fans, the Slovenian returned to his team just 72 hours later, giving a 28-point performance against the UK.

He was great in the 28 minutes against England, but now he’s playing in his next big prep match against Serbia on August 21st.

It will be three-time MVP Nikola Jokic awaiting him.

Some of the biggest stars have played in the Eurobasket tournament, with Luka Donsic being one of them, but there are other NBA players who have won more than him from a large contract.

Doncic recently signed a three-year, $165 million extension with the Lakers. The Lakers will see him make $57 million in the final year of his contract.

However, he is still playing his rookie extension and is set to make $46 million next season.

Stars like Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Lauri Markkanen are all looking to earn more with NBA money than Doncic.

Jokic is set to make $55.2 million, but Antetokounmpo is able to make $54.1 million in the Milwaukee Bucks deal, while Markkanen is set to make $46.4 million as he signed an extension with the Utah Jazz last year.

Player nameIt is estimated that he will win next season
Nicola Jokic$55.2 million
Giannis Antetokounmpo54.1 million dollars
Lauri Marcanen$46.4 million
Luka Donsic$46 million
Franz Wagner$38.7 million

Stephen A. Smith recently revealed that despite the fear of injury, he is pleased that Don Sic continues his mission with the Slovenian team.

The 26-year-old loves to play in his country and becomes keen to win something with them.

Lakers and Slovenia coach Greg St. Jeans said Donsic worked hard because he’s been working hard all summer. However, he made it clear that there is still work to do.

Slovenia last won the Eurobasket tournament in 2017. Despite being 18 years old, Doncic is incredible and has arrived on all tournament teams.

Since then, Donsic has failed to lead Slovenia to international glory and hopes to end its wait with success in the Eurobasket tournament.

They are in groups that will become favorites, with teams like France and Israel also appearing at the top. But Doncic leads, and Slovenia hopes to get the job done in eight years and lift the trophy again.
