The Los Angeles Lakers will look to trying to win the championship this season.
New to the disappointing first-round playoff exit, the Lakers enter the 2025 season in hopes of competing in the competitive Western Conference.
When teams like the Oklahoma City Thunder, Denver Nuggets and Houston Rockets get better, Los Angeles will cut out their work for them.
They need to go up with everyone on the same page and if they want to make noise.
Austin Reeves has concluded his breakout season with the Lakers, averaging 20.2 points, 5.8 assists and 4.5 rebounds in 73 games with the team.
Reeves went into the scene offensively and helped the Lakers during a critical stretch of the season.
He developed a versatile attack game and demonstrated powerful playmaking skills. He also proved to be a sufficient 3-point shooter.
The Reaves had several offensive blasts, including scoring a career-high 45 points in a game against the Indiana Pacers.
If these top performances continue this season, Reaves will definitely be headed to big payday with free agents.
The Lakers signed DeAndre Ayton this summer after he confirmed his acquisition with the Portland Trail Blazers.
Ayton is exactly what the Lakers needed as their team lacked size and rim protection in the playoffs last season. Spending a down year with the Blazers, the change in scenery may be exactly what he needs.
A big guy should be able to look around the rim easily and be effective with pick and rolls.
He offers a strong rebound and also acts as a rim protector. It will be interesting to see if Ayton could return to his old form since he was in the Phoenix Suns.
If he does that, the Lakers will go into business.

This will be Luka Doncic’s first full season with the Lakers.
In 28 games against the Lakers last season, Donsic has eased the team’s system by averaging 28.2 points, 8.1 rebounds and 7.5 assists.
Donsic’s weight and conditioning were questioned by many, so the superstar answered by becoming the best form of his life.
Doncic dominates the competition at Eurobasket and he appears ready to inform the league.

The Lakers made solid offseason additions, including Jay Claravia, DeAndre Ayton and Marcus Smart.
The Slovenian star has all the tools you need to reach an epic season.
