Royal challenger Bengaluru (RCB) finds himself in places of concern as it has been reported that Josh Hazlewood may not be the right person to do. This article describes three players who can replace Josh Hazlewood in RCB IPL 2025.
Three players who can replace Josh Hazlewood in RCB for IPL 2025
1. Adam Milne
With Josh Hazlewood unlikely to return to the rest of the game in IPL 2025, New Zealand’s fast bowler Adam Milne is a good choice to trade fast bowlers when the league resumes.
Milne may not have played many IPL games, but the right-handed pacer can prove to be a key COG in RCB’s bowling lineups like Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yash Dayal.

The fast bowler has so far managed to score 145 kph speeds with an economy of 9.48 in the IPL, earning seven wickets in 10 games.
That being said, Milne’s economy could be a source of concern for RCB management.
2. William O’Rourke
New Zealand pacers have the ability to generate extra bounces, so young fast bowler William O’Rourke can become a game-changer for RCB if he is signed for upcoming games.
William played just five T20I games, but the tall fast bowlers were impressed by everyone in the Torination series, which includes New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan and the 2025 Champions Trophy.
With O’Rourke’s inclusion, RCB will not lose the poison the bowling lineup had in this year’s tournament.
Unlike Milne, O’Rourke’s economic rate is 7.15, allowing you to trust that you will bowl the bowl at every stage of the inning.
3. Alzari Joseph
The head of the West Indies’ fast bowling at Alzari Joseph, Limited Over Cricket, could be roped to Royal Challengers Bangalore, replacing Josh Hezlewood.
Joseph, who was part of the RCB at IPL 2024, will be expected to see the work Hazlewood does for his team: wicketing and bowling with a new ball in the final five overs.
If Joseph is signed on behalf of the rest of the IPL season, the team’s batting orders will also deepen.
That being said, RCB management hopes he won’t let the bowl leak with good control, something the team missed badly during last season, and decided to bench Joseph later in the tournament.
Speaking about Joseph’s record in the IPL, the right-arm fast bowler played 22 games and scored 21 wickets in the economy of 9.55, earning the best of 6/12.
Joseph made his IPL debut against Sunrise Hyderabad in 2019, becoming the first bowler to choose more than five wickets in his first IPL game.
