A new Premier League season is here for us. This means you need to put together your FPL team.
Here are three players to avoid when choosing a team.
Matheus Cunha-£8.0m
Cunha had an impressive season with the Wolves last year, finishing with 15 goals and seven assists.
So I hope he and Mbeumo will improve Man United’s offense that they struggled with last season.
But given how bad United was last season, I think it might take some time for them to improve.
United have some tough fixtures to start the season when playing Arsenal, City and Chelsea in their first six games.
So I think we can see how they work before they choose them.
Josco Guardiore – £6.0m
Gvardiol was an incredible FPL asset last season, scoring five goals and finishing as the top scoring defender.
This season will be slightly different for him due to the city’s new signature Aït-Nouri.
City didn’t have the traditional left-back from last season, so Pep frequently played Gvardiol in that position.
This allowed the Croats to acquire some very offensive positions and receive goal-scoring opportunities very often.
Aït-Nouri could play in the offensive left back position this season.
Not only that, but it could be that he stopped starting his first league game as Gvardiol was not working at all in the city’s recent friendliness.
Alexander Isaac – £10.5 million
Isak was the fourth-highest scorer in the FPL last season, behind only Salah, Mbeumo and Palmer.
He finished the season with 23 goals and six assists.
However, the forwarding saga surrounding him makes it extremely difficult to choose him in the FPL.
I don’t know if he’s a Liverpool player, Newcastle player, or not by the end of the month.
He is currently on about 20% of his team, but he is avoiding for now due to uncertainty about his future.
