On Thursday evening, the 2025 Man TT Island qualifying round was cancelled by the course clerk due to inclement weather on the island.

The 2025 Person TT Schedule has already been affected by bad weather, and Monday’s free practice is limited to a single speed control lap for newcomers.

The running took place on Tuesday under iffy conditions, but timing qualifying didn’t start under good weather all the way through Wednesday evening.

Qualifying was scheduled to continue on Thursday evening. All five classes have won laps and organizers hope for a run early this afternoon as forecasts have improved “better than expected”.

However, shortly after the 4pm GMT, the course clerk announced that the Thursday evening running had been shelved.

A revised schedule for Friday has been issued and road closure emergency has been activated to allow sessions in the evening.

Qualifying starts on Friday at 1pm and runs from 6:30pm and up until the road opens at 4:40pm before the session.

A brief statement from TT said, “The course clerk confirmed that tonight’s qualifying session was cancelled due to weather conditions.”

Honda Rider Dean Harrison was the lead in qualifying on Thursday. Dean Harrison scored an impressive 133.069 miles on the superbike.

This is the fastest lap ever registered in the first qualifying session of TT history.

Davy Todd surpassed the Superstock rankings, with 29-time TT winner Michael Dunlop leading the Super Sports Times with Ducati.

Rob Hodson was the fastest in Supervin, while Ryan and Calm Crowe put their sidecar class on a standing start of 118 miles.

Sidecars have only lap once this week due to lack of sessions on Thursday as they have seen sections of the mountain so far.

Qualifying is scheduled to end on Friday before the race begins on Saturday and Sunday.
