“Time to become a double champion”: Islamic Makachev, pro responds to Jacques de Rama Dalena’s UFC 315 title victory

Jacques Della Madalena and Beral Muhammad gave the fans an incredible fight in the UFC 315 main event, with both men receiving a lot of praise from their peers, regardless of who won.

The general consensus for Saturday’s championship headliners looked like “what a fight.” This is a proper response considering Della Madarena and Muhammad hit each other in the fifth round. It was Della Madarena who won the mostly impressive battle as he ultimately won the unanimous decision to defeat Muhammad and become the new UFC welterweight champion.

It was an incredible event for Della Maddalena. He was drawn from a fight with Leon Edwards this March, and instead challenged Muhammad, who was unable to use due to injuries. Many of the talks heading on Saturday were not even about how Della Madarena and Muhammad matched. Rather, it was about whether Muhammad’s victory would put aside his best friend Islam Makachev aside the welterweight move to fight Ilia Toplia in UFC 317, or whether losses would change Machachev’s split and fight Della Madrena.

Now it appears that Makhachev is planning to follow up on a potential plan, and he said, “Time to become a double champion.
