For all possibilities, the Indiana Pacers are still in the race to win the 2025 NBA Championship ahead of Game 5.

With the series tied 2-2, it’s very clear that the Indiana Pacers were shot to defeat the Oklahoma City Thunder and lift the Larry O’Brien Trophy.

However, the key to the Pacers’ success is related to how well their star guard Tyrees Halliburton plays in the game. Looking at Hari’s 2025 postseason run, it’s clear that he is one of the best players in the league at the moment.

It’s not long since Halliburton was named the NBA’s most overrated player in an anonymous poll.

Every postseason win has become increasingly clear that it is one of the most biased polls in recent history.

With that in mind, Halliburton teammate TJ McConnell went out for one of the “worst take” he’d ever heard.

“(It’s) certainly unfair. The whole thing that’s overrated, I still can’t wrap my mind…it’s one of the worst take I’ve heard of in my life.

“He showed the world what players we see on a daily basis through these playoffs,” McConnell added.

It was great to see McConnell standing with his Pacers teammate. Yes, it’s really wrong to slap Halliburton with an overrated tag.

The Pacers have just two wins as they could win the first NBA championship in franchise history, making it the perfect time to see what Hari did in the 2025 playoffs.

So far, he has played in 20 Indy games and in those matches he averaged 18.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 9.3 assists (playoff highs) per game.

On top of that, Halliburton has been very clutched throughout the playoffs. He hit the winner of the game and secured the Game 1 contest for Pacer.

Apart from the score, Halliburton influenced the game with rebounds and playmaking. In two games where Hari wasn’t rebounding well, the Pacers were handed a loss.

This revealed that the Pacers could not afford Halliburton to poor rebound nights and could not combine scoring skills.
