Tom Aspinall uses many words to describe Jon Jones and seems to have given up trying to understand “bone.”
The world’s No. 1 heavyweight has long called for a match against Jones to unify the heavyweight championship belt. Aspinall is the dominant heavyweight unit, having recorded an 8-1 record in the UFC and has already defended his interim title once. Longtime light heavyweight king Jones won the vacant title by running through Ciryl Gane in March 2023, following in a one-sided knockout victory over fellow legendary Stipe Miocic at UFC 309.
The match between heavyweight stars makes all the meaning of the world on paper, but Jones publicly shot down his match against Aspinel, as in his opinion, aspinel is not worthy of a fight.
Aspinall recently said he was “very optimistic” about the UFC’s plan for him, and whether it has anything to do with Jones is a mystery. In the recent Word Association segment of TNT Sports with the UFC, Aspinall was asked for opinions on many prominent fighter jets, and of course the best was saved in the end.
“A strange man,” Aspineol said when a photo of Jones emerged.
That’s as long as the aspineol trash story is about Jones, but he’s been taking sly shots with light heavyweight goats in the past. Mainly, Aspinall’s public jabs, in the form of him or his fanbase, call Jones the “duck” to not sign the fight. Even Jones embraced the story of ducks, turning his Twitter avatar into the image of a duck with the UFC Championship belt, wrapped around it.
Whether he considers Jones’ actions strange or strange, or co-ill or something else, Ball remains in his court as long as he sets up a fight with Aspinel.
