Los Angeles utility man Tommy Edman tweaked his ankles a few days ago, manager Dave Roberts said Wednesday.
Edman has been battling an injury to his right ankle since the end of April. He missed three weeks on the injured list and returned on May 18th. However, he was out of the lineup on Tuesday and came out again for a recent adjustment.

Roberts didn’t say the still had Edman on the list of injuries, but outfielder Estery Lewis, who appeared at Stadium on Wednesday, is in the taxi squad. If Edman joins IL, Lewis will take his place on an active roster. Roberts said Edman is “days” for now.
The acquired Lewis in trade with track and field at the end of March. Just two years after the 67-storey base season, Lewis has been struggling for the past two years, and was assigned to allocation before trading with right-handed pitcher Carlos Duran and LA.
In Triple A Oklahoma City, Lewis hit .274 with 16 extra bass hits, 20 runs hit, with 27 stolen bases, OPS hit with .791. He will provide plus speed and LA outfield defense if added to the roster.
