Los Angeles utility man Tommy Edman is not in his lineup on Friday due to an ankle injury. However, he provided a positive update ahead of the ‘ series opener against the Atlanta Braves.

Edman said he felt his ankles were “much better” than he had been in the past few days, and he was treated every day, according to athletic Fabian Alda. He trains on Friday and if everything goes well, he can return to the lineup the next day.
Edman fine-tuned his ankles on the slide in Tuesday’s victory over the Miami Marlins, but the said his absence from the lineup wasn’t the cause of concern.
The NLCS MVP has reduced .252/.295/.523 with eight home runs, 24 RBI and .818 OPS.
The will lead the NL West 21-10 and hope to continue their success with a 10-game road trip that starts in Atlanta.
