Atalanta defender Giorgio Scarbini has linked his move away from the club during the summer transfer.
According to an INEWS report, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in the 21-year-old Central Defender along with Newcastle United.
Scalvini is also taking part in the radar for Premier League champions Liverpool.
Italian defenders wanted to participate
The report claims that Scarbini is being glatered by interest from Newcastle, and that he is open to the idea of moving to the Premier League. However, Newcastle will have to pay around £50 million to sign Scalvini. It remains to be seen if they are ready to pay.
They already have a preliminary foundation for potential moves.
Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonari reportedly spoke to a defender on Newcastle on international missions. He wants to convince the young defender to join the club.
Newcastle needs someone like Giorgio Scalbini
Newcastle looks vulnerable at back last season and needs to improve in that area of the pitch. They will compete in the UEFA Champions League next season, facing world-class offensive players. Signing quality defenders must be one of their priorities.
Scalvini could be the ideal long-term partner for Sven Botman. Newcastle has a transfer budget of around £150 million, and it will be interesting to see if the transaction can be completed.
The transition to the Premier League can be extremely exciting for any player. British regular football was able to accelerate his development and help the Italians realize his potential.
Atalanta doesn’t make it easier for players to move on. Newcastle will have to pay the asking price to complete the transaction. It will also be interesting to see if Tonari can convince the players to join him at the Premier League club.
