Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has been linked to moves that have left the club for the past few weeks.
The French outfit as Monaco is eager to secure his signature, but reports from the Guardians claim that players want to continue at Old Trafford next season. He is not interested in movement and will be interesting to see how the situation develops.
Onana is overwhelming
The 29-year-old has not lived up to expectations since his transition to Manchester United. His performance is unstable, and he sacrifices valuable points on his part. He needs to redeem himself, and it is still unclear whether Manchester United is ready to stick with him as their first choice goalkeeper.
They need to improve their performance next year. Having a reliable goalkeeper at their disposal would have been a boost for them. They have recently linked to multiple goalkeepers. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops.
Can Andre Onana redeem herself?
Manchester United manager Reuben Amorim has labelled the 29-year-old as a top player, and it remains to be seen whether he will be able to return to his best. There is no doubt that he was a quality goalkeeper for Inter Milan. The move to the Premier League hasn’t been successful for him so far. Perhaps a fresh start would have been ideal for him.
“We’re going to do that assessment of every position on our team,” Amorim said. “We need to improve. We can’t change every player. We need to improve every position on the field. The goalkeeper is the same. We can work with Andre. Andre Onana has already proven that he is the top player for Inter.
There will be time to see if Cameroon International can return to his best. He was still very much at the peak of his strength and he was able to become a useful player for Manchester United. However, he needs to work hard to regain his shape and confidence.
