He was told that Toprak Razgatlioglu should have delayed the arrival of MotoGP.
The World Superbike Championship Star will have an exciting paddock switch next season.
Razgatlioglu links with Pramac Yamaha and is the most eye-catching addition to the 2026 MotoGP rider lineup.
However, according to Carlo Pernat, his rush to join MotoGP is an error.
The veteran MotoGP rider manager told Gpone:
“In 2026, we need to see if he is already riding a Yamaha projected in 2027, and still this outdated version.
“I hope he has received the right guarantee, as Fabio Cartalaro has certainly done.”
Toprak Razgatlioglu will enter MotoGP in its final year with Michelin tires.
In 2027, MotoGP will partner with Pirelli as the official tire supplier. Razgatlioglu has mastered Pirellis from governing world superbikes.
However, it is a curious timing for him to race a year on different tires before the entire series moves to Pirelli.
Yamaha V4 in the background
The major development surrounding Yamaha is the V4 engine.
The V4 engine will make its race debut at the San Marino Motog.
It is a massive milestone in the quest to return to the top of Yamaha sports.
Test rider Augusto Fernandez is expected to race first with the V4.
Yamaha starman Quartarraro shows how fast the V4 must be to abandon his current M1 when testing with Misano.
Pernut added: “Yamaha is moving together.
“They are currently working on the V4 engine, except for the current engine development at the end of their current run.
“And Cartalaro noticed this. Not surprising, it appears he has lost his motivation.”
