Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are interested in signing Atletico Madrid’s Conor Gallagher during the summer transfer.
According to a Fichajes report, the two clubs will be willing to file an offer of 50 million euros to Gallagher. It remains to be seen whether Atletico Madrid is ready to sanction his departure.
Conor Gallagher makes a great addition
He had played in the Premier League before and was impressed by Crystal Palace and Chelsea. There’s no doubt he can make an immediate impact in Tottenham and Newcastle. Both clubs require more quality and physicality in the middle of the pitch, and Gallagher is the ideal acquisition.
He is a hardworking player, helping defensively and adding drives to the side as well. He has been reasonably well at Atletico Madrid, and the opportunity to return to his hometown may be attractive to him. He is a talented player with a bright future. He was able to change both teams in the middle.
Former Chelsea star Frank Lampard has named him “a great talent” in the past.
Spurs and Newcastle need Gallagher
Tottenham will do well to secure his signature. They hope to do well in the UEFA Champions League next season and will push the top four places. For that to happen, you need a quality player.
Similarly, Newcastle has qualified for the Champions League and requires more quality for the team to do well in multiple competitions. Gallagher seems ideal for both teams and it will be interesting to see where he goes.
It remains to be seen whether the two Premier League clubs can convince Atletico Madrid to sell players.
