Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are eager to sign Argentina attacking Argentine midfielder Nico Pass at the end of the season.
The 20-year-old midfielder played for Como and has been outstanding for him ever since joining the club last summer. The player has six goals and seven assists to his name in the league this season.
The former Real Madrid Academy alumnus is considered one of the best offensive midfielders in Italian football and has managed to grow into a top player with proper guidance. According to Fichaje, the Spanish giants have the option to bring him back to the club for a fee of around 9 million euros, and it will be interesting to see if they have decided to sign him in the summer.
Real Madrid clearly has the option to sign him cheap, and they have a great advantage in transfer races. It will be interesting to see if they have decided to exercise the clause. The pass is also linked to Arsenal and Manchester City.
NicoPas will be a future investment
Meanwhile, Chelsea can use more creativity and technical capabilities in the final third, and the 20-year-old will help them create opportunities to achieve their goals. Chelsea have shown an appetite to bring in talented young players in recent seasons, and the pass will be a quality addition to the club’s terrifying pool of young talent.
Similarly, Tottenham needs creativity even in the last third. James Madison was inconsistent and South America was able to compete with him at his departure.
It will be interesting to see if the Italian outfit is ready to sell young people after a season at the club. He is unlikely to become a cheap takeover, and the two clubs have to pay him a premium. That being said, the 20-year-old could justify his investment in the long term.
Pass has been highly praised by Lionel Messi, who described him as a player of “many quality.”
