Tottenham Hotspur is eager to sign Bournemouth attacker Antoine Cementhoo this summer, but will have to pay a fair amount to get the deal done.
According to a Football Insider report, Tottenham is interested in signing the 25-year-old after an impressive performance last season. He scored 13 goals in all competitions and chipped in with seven assists.
“He’s another player on Tottenham’s target list,” Pete O’Rourke told Soccer Insider.
“They put a £70 million price tag on his head to drive away potential suitors.
“He is a top player and he has gained a reputation with 13 goals and seven assists in 42 appearances in all competitions last year.
“He’s a very versatile player and can play anywhere on the front line, so it’s not surprising that Tottenham is watching him, but Bournemouth will do everything he can to protect him.”
Tottenham needs Antoine Semegno
He helps Tottenham improve in the future, and they can use someone with his skill set. They looked mediocre on offense last season, and they need to improve in that area of the pitch. They will oppose elite teams in the Champions League next season and need better players to do well.
Meanwhile, Ghanaians try to test themselves at a high level. Competition in the Champions League is extremely exciting for him, and Tottenham could be an ideal destination. They can provide him with normal football at a high level.
He can be slotted anywhere on the front 3, adding much needed cutting edge and unpredictability to the Tottenham attack. The player is at the peak of his strength and he aims to make an immediate impact at the London Club.
Providing a price can be a problem
He is valued at £70 million, and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham can afford to sign him.
They need to improve both defensively and midfield. Bournemouth may need to be more reasonable in response to their demands to pass the movement.
Manchester United are also linked to Cemenyo. They could be facing competition from their bitter rival Liverpool.
