Signing the Tottenham statement in the summer was undoubtedly a £52 million deal for playmaker Zabi Simons, who signed a seven-year potential contract with the Spurs after joining from RB Leipzig on the last day of the window.
The deal was declared for the first five years with another two-year option, one of the longest player contracts in Tottenham history, providing a real indicator of how highly he appreciates the Dutch.

Daniel Levi, who resigned after the shocking announcement of his departure on Thursday, led CEO Vinai Vinkatesham, technical director Johan Lange and unofficial advisor Fabio Paratici in pursuit of much-needed playmakers before Monday’s transfer deadline.
After two very common and humble attempts to sign one failed, the Spurs ultimately spent an impressive two years in the Bundesliga as Morgan Gibbs White and Ebe Bekiez refused to move to Tottenham in a dramatic late fashion.
In doing so, Lily White snatched Chelsea contracts for the 22-year-olds, saving his face after Gibbs White’s strange saga and Arsenal’s Eze hijacking.
He passed through Barcelona’s famous Ramasia Academy before moving to PSG, then to Leipzig, where he scored 22 goals and 24 assists in a total of 78 appearances for the latter.
The Netherlands International is famous for its “silky” skills and creativity in the last third. This is what Thomas Frank is screaming after getting injured by James Madison and Dejnkrcevsky.
The former burst his ACL in the preseason, resulting in no return until 2026, but Krusseviski was not selected for Tottenham’s 22-man Champions League team as the Swedes are expected to return in December.
Tottenham is worried about dealing with Zabi Simons as Thomas Frank has “concerns”
Simons was delighted to announce before the Spurs crowd before a 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth before an international break, spurring excitement as supporters anticipated his imminent debut.
However, Bundesliga expert Kevin Hatchard sent a warning to Tottenham about the player.
Simons’ body language and attitude are sometimes questioned, based on the “talk” he heard from German circles.
“He’s intelligence in terms of how he moves, how he beats people, how he supports him, his goal. He’s a very good player to see and I think Spurs fans will love him,” said Talksport’s Hatchard.
“My only concern about him is that his body language isn’t big, and sometimes his attitude isn’t the only thing. I don’t know personally. All I know is that throughout his time in Germany, “Is his attitude the best? And is he destructive?”
“It may be unfair. It may be just gossip, but it was in the German media. Even when he left, there was a big editorial in one of the major publications on the fact that this could be good for Leipzig in the long run, in terms of team harmony.
“I’m sure Thomas Frank will do a great job with him. There are some rough edges to smooth out in that respect, but it cannot be denied from the point of view of his talent.
“I think it’s going to be an exciting and positive signature for the Spurs.”
According to Mick Brown, Tottenham spoke about signing Aston Villa and Morgan Rogers, but considering how unruly he has proven to be at the £80 million price tag, Simons is a viable alternative with a huge ceiling.
