Tottenham Hotspur was able to hijack Nottingham Forest’s move for “incredible” advancement amid fallout surrounding Morgan Gibbs White’s pursuit.
Forest considering legal action after Spurs approach Gibbs White
Gibbs White’s pursuit of the Spurs has proven controversial, with forests ceasing to all communication after claiming that an illegal approach was taken for the midfielders.
Tricky Trees have reported a spurt in the Premier League, and while it is currently unclear whether the transfer will be completely blocked, super agent Sky Andrew suggests that Daniel Levy may simply have to pay to get a deal on the line.
Andrew said: “If you go to arbitration that must go within the rules and regulations of football, Forest has to prove that the club went directly to the player or agent. Most clubs know it’s very difficult to prove.
“So this is the case now of how much the buyer club pays the players. It’s not £60 million. It probably needs to be needed more.”

He managed to leave the spur this summer.
Lily White would have definitely been unhappy with the deal, but they now have the opportunity to get one in the forest, and standard reports reveal they are in a race signing one of the main targets of Premier League rivals.
Tottenham reportedly remained in the Brentford Star Joan Wissa race and submitted an investigation early in the transfer period.
Forest has also recently knocked back a £20 million bid, indicating that it can hijack the deal if the Spurs are willing to place a higher offer on the table.
That being said, Brentford made it clear that he didn’t want to sell both Brian Mbeumo and Wissa in the same window, so it could be difficult to get the deal done.
Last season, “Incredible” Wissa appeared as a Premier League star
The 28-year-old is one of the best performing forwards in the Premier League in the 2024-25 campaign, scoring 19 goals, the sixth highest tally in the top flight, and providing five assists on 35 outings.
Thanks to the previous semester of his performance, Dr. Congo International was praised for his “incredible” quality by former manager Thomas Frank. It’s an extra bonus that the Spurs boss knows the front very well.
So Wissa could be a solid signature for Tottenham this summer, and the goal of the French-born forward and the fact that his contract is set to expire next summer, perhaps means that the lower fees will be more fair, but we’ll support Tully.
