Tottenham Hotspur is looking to improve its defensive forces and has identified Everton defender Jarrad Branthawaite as a target.
The 22-year-old Central Defender has been linked to multiple Premier League clubs over the past few months. According to a report from the Daily Mail, Chelsea and Liverpool are monitoring his development. Manchester United tried to sign the athletes last summer, but now Tottenham has raced for him.
The report claims he is valued at £70 million and Tottenham is preparing to test the water with an offer to him. It will be interesting to see if they can get trades across the line. It’s no surprise that they’re passionate about Everton’s defenders. They could lose Christian Romeo to Atletico Madrid this summer, and they need to replace him.
La Liga’s outfit is eager to sign the World Cup winner, and he is open to transfer. He is a key player for Tottenham and replacing him properly is a top priority for the club.
Jarrad Branthwaite makes a great investment
Branthwaite is one of the best young defenders in European football and has consistently demonstrated his ability in the Premier League. He’s enough to play for the largest club in the country, and the opportunity to move to Tottenham might be ideal for him. He needs to compete at a higher level to continue his development.
The Everton star is labelled as a player with “great attitude.”
He will be able to play alongside quality Tottenham players and will also provide a platform to test it out in the UEFA Champions League. They managed to win the European trophy last season, making Tottenham an attractive destination for players. It is still unknown if they are ready to pay him the asking price.
Chelsea and Liverpool are also enthusiastic
Chelsea looked defensively vulnerable, so they need to upgrade Benoit Badiaseal and Axel Disassi. Wesley Fofana suffers from persistent injuries. In Liverpool, Joe Gomez is very prone to injury, and Jarrell Kuanza is linked to the exit.
Both clubs need a young defender of quality, and the Everton star certainly fits his profile.
