Tottenham wants to sign Barcelona defender Eric Garcia
A potentially great opportunity to strengthen their defensive ranks comes in the form of Barcelona and former male city men Eric Garcia.
The 24-year-old has completed his contract in the summer of 2026. This means that it may be available at reduced rates in the next transfer window.
His experience at the top level can be invaluable to Tottenham despite his younger age. And his reputation as a capable ballplay defender means Garcia could be an ideal fit at a very reasonable price.
Tottenham wants to sign Garcia this summer and Catalans are now considered ready to sell, so this could be interesting to see as we get closer to the window.
“Eric is a very intelligent boy – more than a boy.” The mayor of football Txiki Begiristain said during his time in Garcia’s Eastlands before switching to Barca as a free agent in 2021. “He’s a good character and a solid leader.”
