The Los Angeles have recently brought the familiar face with trade deadlines to bolster the needy bullpen.
Right-handed Brock Stewart last played in the uniform in 2019, but now that he’s back in the Chavez Valley he’s got the chance to see all the additions he’s added to the clubhouse in past offseasons.

“This clubhouse is brand new. The amenities here are shocking. It’s just the amount of resources you can use at your disposal, and it’s really cool to watch,” Stewart said. “No one has any excuses that we’re not resting or feeling good because what we have here is more than what I’ve been to.”
Stewart has an ERA of 2.38 with the Minnesota Twins this season, earning a way back to the . The right-hander has not seen the same success during his last tenure, as he hopes to flip the script this time around.
From his MLB debut in 2016 to the end of the 2018 season, Stewart scored an ERA of 4.84 in 80 innings. He threw 68 strikeouts on 40 walks during this period, bringing a total of 84% ERA+ to 16% below the league average.
After allowing eight runs in three appearances in 2019, Stewart was let go of the and headed for the Toronto Blue Jays for another 10 outings, totaling an ERA of 8.31.
After bouncing back to the independent league in 2020, Stewart returned to the on a minor league contract ahead of the 2021 season, but injuries prevented him from recording innings in MLB or MILB.
Stewart signed a minor league contract with the Minnesota Twins in the middle of the 2022 campaign, returning to the Big League mound in 2023, pitching an astounding 0.65 ERA in 28 appearances.
Though shoulder complications in 2024 limit him to just 16 MLB outings, Stewart appears healthy and ready to contribute to another deep October run for the .
