Luka Donsic was incredibly emotional as the Mavericks aired a beautiful tribute video to him while LeBron James comforted him.
Luka Doncic is currently playing for the American Airlines Center and has performed incredible times. Six months ago, the sentence said that he rarely raises his eyebrows.
But the key difference is that he does it against the Mavericks. Tonight, he marks Luka Donsic’s first game in Dallas since becoming a Los Angeles Laker.
Donsic ignored Nico Harrison and Jason Kidd, saying it would be an emotional game. It wasn’t just him as LeBron James compared Donsic’s return to his infamous first game in Cleveland.
Fans appeared in large numbers to show their love and respect for the Slovenian superstar. And the Mavericks organization paid tribute to Luka with its incredible video package.

The Mavericks tribute video has brought Luka Doncic to tears. Several fans responded to the sight of Luka Donsic being emotionally moved.
“He never intended to leave…” It was heartbreaking as NBA star Trae Young said, “Dallas was so dirty with this guy.”
“The Dallas front office will never be allowed,” argued by one upset Mavericks fan. Another pointed to the irony of the situation, saying, “touch the video for a team that trades the talent of a generation with an injuring center.”
“How would Dallas trade the players who not only tainted him, but who loved being there? The franchise player is the franchise player in that,” another Mavericks fan said.
“I felt Luca here. It was tough. He handled it well,” fans praised. Another fan justly asked, “Yes, did they not slander this guy on their way out the door?”
A Lakers fan comforted LeBron James with tears in his eyes, writing brilliantly, “LeBron James comforts the weeping Luka Donsic. Brothers. Let’s win this game.”

Luka Doncic has only a love for Mavericks as a team and its fans, but he doesn’t feel the same way about the front office.
Speaking before the game, Donsic admitted how rude it was for the Mavericks front office to leak bad news about him to justify the deal.
And so far, he appears to be taking revenge as he has scored 31 points at the time of this writing. Is it possible that Doncic has a career night against his previous team?
The second half of basketball is still there to play. But all the signs show that Luka Doncic can have a great game against Mavericks.
