The Washington Wizard is a team that has not achieved much success in recent years.

In his fourth year running, the team finished outside the playoff spot, finishing in the bottom two of the Eastern Conference rankings in those two seasons.

Despite finishing 15th in the last season, the Washington Wizards managed to score their sixth pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.

They also have their 18th pick, but the talent array is expected to be in the top 10, so the team is evaluating the options to maximize the pick and continue rebuilding.

According to Grant Afses, the Wizard offers teams big deals to draft players like Dylan Harper and Jeremiah’s Fear.

The 2025 NBA Draft is one of the most exciting drafts of late, as many things could change apart from the top picks.

Cooper Flag is expected to complete his visit with the Dallas Mavericks and be drafted with the No. 1 pick unless there are other major obstacles.

The second pick belongs to the San Antonio Spurs, and he is believed to have been impressed by the organization.

The Wizard offers some amazing names as part of the deal, but Spurs wants to build it together with Harper.

Afseth writes: “The Wizard, who held picks No. 6 and 18 in the first round, explored the trading-up scenario in the hopes of securing one of the top backcourt prospects.

“Washington has made multiple offers to top five teams to land either Dylan Harper or Jeremiah’s horrors, and even letting go of the incredible name would hope to move up to second overall.

“So far these attempts have been rejected,” he added.

Fear is another player the Wizard is watching, and according to ESPN’s latest mock draft, the former Oklahoma point guard was able to go to the New Orleans Pelican at Seven.

The mock draft also suggests that Ace Bailey will become the Wizard picking player, but he refused to meet with the organization alongside the Philadelphia 76ers and the Charlotte Hornets.

If Fear or Bailey is not selected to be the sixth, the wizard will choose one of them.

They are young and exciting, so when you draft, you’ll need the stability you need in your point guard position.

Reports suggest that the wizard is linked only to the point guard movements of the draft.

With Malcolm Brogdon injured, it was Jordan Poole who played the role last season.

He averaged 20.5 ppg but also had three turnovers per game, and the team didn’t benefit from him playing as point guard.

Marcus Smart can play positions, but he has a player option and it seems unlikely that the original defensive player of the year will return.

This is one of the reasons franchises are focused on bringing security guards because it’s a priority.

The wizard has been reconstructed and the hope is to do so with the younger core throughout the draft.

This is one of the reasons why teams don’t even hehe or trade important players, go up and bring the best prospects to the roster.
