Man United hopes to sign Mash Kuña this summer, and while they like to do so, recent developments risk threatening the chances of getting a contract in the coming weeks.
Cunha is certainly leaving the Wolves this summer after scoring 15 goals this season and providing six assists in 30 Premier League appearances. They are said to be approaching an oral agreement with Brazilian attackers.
But nonetheless, it’s not surprising that Cunha will head to Old Trafford with two other Premier League clubs still racing to sign him this summer.
Arsenal’s schedule is being discussed with representatives from Mateus Cunha
In a tweet posted to X, Ben Jacobs revealed that Cunha has not given up on his hopes of signing Cunha before Man United. In addition to this, Newcastle holds their interest.
“Matheus Cunha wants to decide on the next club before the season ends, despite his release clause not being active until the end of the season. Manchester United considered him a frontrunner over the conditions set to continue for the next few days.
“Newcastle is still in the race and Arsenal. New contact with discussion within the club was about movement. A new meeting is scheduled between Andrea Berta and Cunha Camp. It is intended to act quickly to avoid surprises. ”
Cunha will be the top signature of both Arsenal and Newcastle, but at this stage, both clubs will have to move on if they beat Man United to sign, given that Europa League finalists are good to close the deal in the near future.
