Arsenal is undergoing high consultations on signing Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi, and is reportedly having two other top targets this summer.
In addition to his mid-center reinforcement with Zubimendi, the gunners appear to have made attack position a priority.
It says, according to ESPN, Arsenal will ideally follow up on Zubimendi’s transfers, adding new strikers and new wider ones.
Zubimendi looks like an exciting and important addition to the Mikel Arteta team as both Jorginho and Thomas Partey are expected to be out of contract this summer.
Still, the offense also makes sense as an urgent priority after so many issues in that position this season.
Arsenal needs a big transfer window after disappointing Premier League campaign
Arsenal is tied up ahead of time with Hugo Ekichique and other exciting talents, and it is clear that Kai Hubbers and Gabriel Jesus will need an upgrade.
Not only are they seriously injured this season, but neither of the aforementioned strikers are prolific enough that the AFC will provide a reliable source of goals of 25 or higher for the season that they need.
This has drawn Arteta’s side 13 times in the Premier League than any other team other than Everton.
Arsenal also has been in the air with people like Nico Williams coming in and overly dependent on Bukayo Saka for a while, so it’s certainly necessary to have more options.
Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard are decent players, but not consistent enough. That led to Saka playing too many games and he was seriously injured in the campaign.
If Arsenal can add new and wider strikers along with Zubimendi, they should be in good condition to make a stronger title challenge for 2025/26.
