Tyrese Maxey shares his honest views on the Philadelphia 76ers’ 2024-25 NBA season.
The Philadelphia 76ers have been confirmed to finish the 2024-25 NBA season as the 13th seed in the Eastern Conference.
This is a terrible place for the team who signed a massive deal with Paul George in the summer and paired with Joel Embiid.
However, as star players suffered from injuries throughout the season, there was little to control the organization.
Apart from the dynamic duo of George and Embiid, fans established themselves as the team’s third star in the hopes of dominating the NBA’s most improved player, Tyrese Maxey.
Because of that value, Maxey played well, averaging 26.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game for the team.
But like George and Embiid, Maxey also caught a bug in injury as he will feature in just 52 games this season. Maxey also misses the 76ers final game of the season against the Chicago Bulls.
When asked about his positive takeaway from the 76ers’ disastrous season, Maxey gave him a response he knows his fans might not like.
“This sounds bad, but… the only way it’s going up,” Maxie said in Blueski via Austin Krell.
With each six, author Adam Arsonson beats with X, Maxey added: “I think we all need a mental break.”
Fans don’t think much before criticizing the organization during their organizational era. Certainly, the drought at the 76ers NBA Championship is only on the rise.
But because it’s worth it, Philadelphia has been a postseason flagship for most of the last decade.
In fact, it was the first time after seven seasons that 76 people hadn’t managed to win the playoff berth. So, will this be setting fire under their stars next season? Only time can be seen.
