Glasnow was replaced by right-handed pitcher Ben Casparius.
This marks the second straight start when Glasnow left the game early due to an injury. The final right-handed start against the Texas Rangers was headlined by a leg cramp, but Sunday’s brief outing looked like an arm issue.
Glasnow left before the top of the two innings. He allowed two runs and one walk with two hits before finishing Sunday’s game.
The right-hander has an ERA of 4.50 with 23 strikeouts this season. In 2024, Glasnow’s season ended prematurely when he was ruled out for the last two months of the regular season and postseason with elbow sprain.
The hope is that Glasnow’s injury is just a slight setback. The already have one starter on Blakesnell’s injured list. Nor are Shohei Ohtani, Clayton Kershaw, or Tony Gonsolin. The latter is scheduled to return this week.
