Tyler Glasnow will begin his rehabilitation assignment with Triple A Oklahoma City, according to athletics Fabian Ardaya.
The right-handed starting pitcher reportedly pitches two innings on his first outing. The Los Angeles also hope that Glasnow will make at least three outings before revitalizing him from the injured list.

The moved Glasnow to a 60-day IL on May 31st. He deals with inflammation in the right shoulder that Los Angeles placed him in the 15-day IL on April 28th.
Glasnow started five times this season before joining the list of injured pitchers. He caused 4.50 ERA and 28 strikeouts in 18 innings.
The had expected five potential aces in the rotation before Glasnow and starting pitchers Rokisaki and Blakesnell.
Glasnow and Snell could return in July, and it remains unclear what Sasaki’s position will be for the rest of the season.

In addition to exhausting the ‘ rotation, Glasnow’s injuries are frustrating as they were injured throughout the 2024 postseason.
He collapsed with season-ending right elbow tendonitis in August and left the without an ace for a World Series run.
Before the injury, Glasnow started a career-high 22, recording a 3.49 ERA and a career-high 168 strikeout. He also won the first All-Star selection of his career.
It was his first season with Los Angeles after they acquired him in offseason trade with the Tampa Bay Rays. So, Glasnow, who quickly signed a five-year, $136.5 million contract extension, has yet to pitch in the Los Angeles postseason.
Glasnow pitched four postseasons with the Rays before joining the , hosting a career era of 5.72 in the postseason.
The current goal is to ensure that the are fully healthy before Glasnow returns from Illinois.
